The vision of Emmanuel Community is no small thing. We want people everywhere to experience the hope that Jesus brings! We want people around Australia and beyond to find their home in the Catholic Church, to thrive in faith, and to live out their calling in the world. In a nutshell, we want to grow contagious followers of Jesus and pave ways for the Church of the future. We are provoked by the saying:
“If the size of your dreams don’t require God in order to achieve them, then they are probably too small.”

God uses ordinary people to make extraordinary things happen
If you’re feeling the nudge to support a project or respond to a lack of resources, that’s no coincidence. God delights in making the impossible possible by prompting ordinary people like you and me to give generously, after the example of the first Christians:
“No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had... There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.” - Acts 4:32-35

Is giving to Emmanuel tax-deductible?
Gifts made through through a Family Trust are tax-effective, so please contact us if that is an option for you.
All gifts to Emmanuel City Mission are 100% tax-deductible. Note: ECM uses a separate account name & number (see above).
While we are not-for-profit, all regular donations to Emmanuel and our other ministries are not tax-deductible at this time. We rely solely on the generosity of members and donors to continue our vital mission.
How do members of the community give?
Giving is a natural part of discipleship, of following Jesus’ teaching to be unattached to material things and to give generously. We encourage all our members first of all to pray about how they can give according to their means, to be generous in that response, and then to make a commitment to regular giving.
I am not a member of Emmanuel Community. How can I help?
We welcome any support you can give! Telling others about what we do and help spreading the word is a great way to start. A recurring monthly or annual gift works very well and goes a long way. Please contact us to discuss any areas of specific need or of particular interest to you.
Can I just give to one of Emmanuel’s ministries?
Absolutely. Whilst all gifts to our Home for Mission fund are an absolute blessing, all Emmanuel’s ministries are an extension of our core mission so any support toward them is highly appreciated! If you’d like to give specifically to a particular ministry, just select the name of the ministry fund when you give online, or in your reference.
